Following on from yesterdays post on how to get a live.com email address. I will now show you how to get a @windowslive.com address.
Firstly you’ll need to go to the French Get Windows Live Now page and then click on the orange Télécharger button.
You will now be presented with the Windows Live sign up page. Here you can either select either a @windowslive.com or @hotmail.com address.
The second part of the form is where you enter your password. For security purposes I always make my passwords 8 characters long with a mixture of upper and lower case letters.
The third section is where you enter your password reset information. Enter an alternative email address, secret question and answer.
The forth part is where you put in your personal information. First and Last Name, Gender, Birth Year, Country, State and Postal Code.
Type in the security code and then click the Accepter button. If everything has been entered correctly you should now have your very own @windowslive.com email address.

It’s now possible to get @live.com email address. I’ve registered one myself so I can confirm that this works.
Simply go to the Get Windows Live Hotmail page and then click one of the Get it free orange buttons.
This will then take you to the sign up page where you can select either a @live.com or @hotmail.com email address.

You can easily use Microsoft Outlook to access your Windows Live Hotmail accounts.
MSN Premium and Microsoft Office Outlook Live subscribers can use a tool called the Microsoft Office Outlook Connector.
Using the Outlook Connector you can:
- Read and send your Office Live Mail/Windows Live Mail through the Outlook interface
- Manage and share your Calendar schedule
- Manage your Live Mail Contacts
- Access your Tasks and Notes
- Use advanced options for blocking junk e-mail
- Manage multiple e-mail accounts in one place
To Install the Office Outlook Connector simply:
- Close Microsoft Outlook
- Download the Microsoft Office Outlook Connector
- Run the Office Outlook Connector installer and follow the on screen instructions
- When the installation is complete, open Microsoft Outlook
- When prompted, sign in to Windows Live Mail using your username and password
*Note: You need a MSN Premium or Microsoft Office Outlook Live subscription to access Windows Live Mail in Outlook.
Update: You can now connect to your Windows Live Hotmail account free of charge using the Microsoft Outlook Connector.
