- Click Start > Control Panel
- Click Add or Remove Programs
- Click Windows Defender
- Click Remove
- Click Yes when prompted to remove Windows Defender
Installing this update will bring Windows Defender up to the same codebase as the version in Microsoft Windows Vista.
